History

The Hotel San Ayre is evolving as Colorado Spring’s Premier Boutique Lodging.  Its transformation and modernization began in early 2006.   As its accommodations evolve expect to be impressed by the warm, eclectic and luxurious guest suites.

Colorado Spring’s newest and hippest boutique hotel is located in the heart of the desirable West Side, nestled between Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs.

The Hotel San Ayre was first opened in 1952 as a classic motor court under the name San-Ayre Court Motel, a name whose origins were  a derivation of the original owners.  The Motel entertained tourists successfully for many years before falling into disrepair.

In 2006, the property  was purchased and the name changed  to the Hotel San Ayre.  Catering to an adventurous and young at heart clientele with an appreciation for simple elegance, renovations began.  The first two premium Guest Rooms were completed in the June of 2006.  Remaining renovations to the property are expected to reach completion in the spring of 2008.

When completed, the Hotel San Ayre will boast 11 exclusive boutique-styled Guest Rooms and Suites.  In addition the Hotel now has a Xeriscape patio area featuring a fire pit for guests to enjoy a picnic or cocktail under the stars.  Plans for a beer and wine garden are also in the works, catering to the unique tastes of our clientele.
